Predoi Valle Aurina

Predoi Valle Aurina is the northernmost Italian village; it offers many possibilities of spending holidays at a farm, where you can have a look at the true South Tyrol! Predoi is also famous thanks to its copper mine, which produced the best copper in Europe. This mine had to close down at the end of XIX century, because much copper was imported from the US at low prices. Another Predoi product are pillow laces, which become the source of income for many families when the mine was closed. The pillow laces school still exists nowadays! This mine is now a museum; one of its gallery has become a famous Climate Gallery open from March till October, ideal to cure allergies and other respiratory troubles.
